Watch Darth Vader Experience The Magic Of Disney Theme Parks

Most people are selfish. When the news of Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm first broke, they thought only of whether they personally would like to see more Star Wars movies. Very few, if any, stopped to think what the transition must be like for the characters. Luckily, if new video footage is any indication, the change in ownership will work extremely well, at least for Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers.

To give fans a laugh and generate some publicity for its theme parks, the geniuses over at Disney put together a quick video of Darth Vader and two trusted Stormtroopers experiencing the wonder of Disneyland. Smartly conceived and expertly put together, the footage has raced around the Internet today, and it’s absolutely worth a look…

The sneaky awesome thing about this footage is how well it gets across the overarching Disneyworld/ Disneyland message: no matter who you are or what age you might be, there is plenty of fun to have at a Disney theme park. That’s why Vader is shown doing everything from riding rides to eating to dancing. Regardless of personality type, everyone can look at a clip like that and find something that appeals to them. Plus, as the king of all things nostalgic and goofy, it only makes sense Disney would put Darth Vader on a Merry-Go-Round.
