Why Has Taylor Swift Had So Many Relationships?

To promote her new album Red, Taylor Swift has been making the talk show rounds this week, and not surprisingly, the subject has continually turned toward her slew of famous ex-boyfriends. The pop star, who is currently dating Conor Kennedy, was previously involved with John Mayer, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, Jake Gyllenhaal and several others, and more often than not, she’s gotten out the frustration related to the failed relationships with extremely open and pointed songs.

Given how sweet, innocent and good-natured Swift seems and the scorned lyrics of her tracks, most observers have always assumed the pop star’s problem has been in the picking department, but maybe it’s time to look at things from a different angle. During her appearance on Ellen, the host put up a series of photographs of Swift’s former loves, and it got me wondering who was actually to blame. Men like Mayer and Gyllenhaal might seem like the obvious targets to blame, but at only twenty-two, it seems like she’s dated way too many people not to have some personality facet that pushes people away.

What do you think? Has Swift just made quite a few poor choices when it comes to the men she dates, or is she really the bigger problem? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
