The Golden Globes nominations were announced this morning. Which TV shows will be recognized by the Hollywood Foreign Press this year? It wasn’t all predictable for this year’s nominations as some new shows managed to make the list, including Fox’s New Girl and Showtime’s Episodes, among the comedies nominated.

The drama series nominees are all new series, assuming Boardwalk Empire is being recognized for its first season, and all cable series, with FX’s American Horror Story being the only non-pay-cable series to make the cut. Also nominated, Starz’s Boss, HBO’s Game of Thrones. Network TV got a little more recognition with the comedies, with Glee, Modern Family and New Girl earning nominations, along with HBO's Enlightened and Showtime's Episodes.
