Is Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Bringing Agent Carter Characters To Season 7?
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is ending with Season 7, and will be one of the few Marvel shows to come to a natural end on its creators' terms. Little is known regarding what creators Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen and Jeff Bell have planned, but a recent leak from star actress (and former voice of Mulan) Ming-Na Wen may have changed that. Provided this latest leak means what fans think it does, the series may feature Agent Carter characters in Season 7.
The rumors began swirling after Wen uploaded the following photo to her Instagram Stories. The photo, seen below, showed personalized bikes the stars were given as wrap gifts for Season 7. Each bike had a tag for the actor or actress is was intended for, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans quickly saw one name that Agent Carter fans know well.

For those that don't see it quite yet, the middle bike seems to be for actor Enver Gjokaj. Gjokaj has never played a role on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but he did play Peggy Carter's boyfriend Daniel Souza for two seasons on the cancelled Agent Carter. Is Gjokaj reprising his role in the final season of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
There's some optimism that may be the case, and that Agent Carter fans may get some form of closure as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. prepares its curtain call. With that said, it's not a sure thing Enver Gjokaj is really coming back to play Daniel as nothing about this has been confirmed by anyone with the show. The post was later deleted from Ming-Na Wen's Instagram Stories, however, which may be a sign it revealed info the creators didn't want out there.
With that being said, an Enver Gjokaj casting doesn't explicitly mean he has to reprise the role of Agent Carter's Daniel, or even that nameless police officer in The Avengers. Marvel has had a big recent casting where the actor played someone else in the MCU, and currently has a character that looks a whole lot like Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson, but isn't. Could Gjokaj be playing someone different (but maybe similar) entirely?
Anything is possible, although one would assume Marvel would've gotten out ahead of this leak and explained how Enver Gjokaj is completely unrelated to Agent Carter casting if it was no big deal. Also, let's not forget Hayley Atwell appeared as Peggy Carter in Season 2 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as did the Howling Commandos. Point being, there have been Agent Carter appearances in the past, so it isn't too crazy to think some may happen again.
