Ronda Rousey is coming to Fox’s 9-1-1 in order to fight that big tsunami in Season 3! Okay, maybe that won't be her role exactly, but if anybody was up for fighting a tsunami, it would surely be Rousey! The Fox drama is heading back for its third season, and it has added the WWE star to the cast. First, a little background about that tsunami in case you missed the fact that one is happening on the show.

The trailer for 9-1-1’s third season showed a terrifying tsunami hitting Santa Monica. In it, you can see beachgoers enjoying the day before the shoreline starts receding, and doom prepares to hit. Watch it below and then regroup afterward for more about Ronda Rousey’s role:

Now that you fully understand the context of 9-1-1 Season 3, here is what you need to know about Ronda Rousey’s role in it. Rousey has signed on to star as a firefighter by the name of Lena Bosko. Bosko is a member of the Los Angeles Fire Department (Station 136).

Personality-wise, Lena Bosko is described as “stoic” and “fearless,” and Deadline reports she will recur in the role. Bosko’s personality traits sound like a solid combination for any first-responder to have. She and Los Angeles are going to have a lot to sift through in 9-1-1 Season 3.

Ronda Rousey’s Lena Bosko is said to spring into action in an attempt to save lives after a “disaster hits.” Considering that the trailer for Season 3 shows that giant tsunami hitting, she will have her hands full.

Bosko will lose her team during the disaster, per EW. She will then join Eddie and other members of Station 118 in the fight to save lives. Fans will not have to wait for long to see Ronda Rousey make her 9-1-1 debut either. She will reportedly appear in the Season 3 premiere. The Fox drama is bringing it!

A lot can happen on 9-1-1, so it will be interesting for fans to see Ronda Rousey take action in the upcoming season. The drama dealt out quite the shocker before ending Season 2. Following a deadly twist last season, Jennifer Love Hewitt explained how the show would change. The aftermath of a tsunami is guaranteed to continue shaking things up.

How long will Ronda Rousey stick around? It is not entirely clear. Considering the magnitude of that tsunami, you would think that 9-1-1 will be dealing with the aftermath for a while in Season 3.

Ronda Rousey recently starred in the Mark Wahlberg actioner Mile 22. Back in 2017, she guest-starred on NBC’s action drama Blindspot (as pictured above).

Check out Ronda Rousey in 9-1-1 when Season 3 premieres Monday, September 23 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. The dramatic series is among many returning and premiere this fall.
