When it comes to The Bachelor, the show's beloved host, Chris Harrison, has the rundown of everything. This is why it's so valuable for him to explain why Hannah Brown is showing up during Peter Weber’s season of the reality show. Fresh off of her grueling Dancing with the Stars stint (and eventual victory), Hannah will be making a return to the franchise.

Time for a rewind. Hannah was the latest Bachelorette, a.k.a. the titular rose-giver. Competing for her affections was none other than the new Bachelor, Peter. While the two really hit it off, it was not enough for Hannah to choose Peter. He made it to the final three, leaving Tyler Cameron and Jed Wyatt as the last contenders. Hannah eventually selected Jed before that infamous break up.

Now, as teased in a promo for Peter’s season of The Bachelor, Hannah is returning, and spoilers have clarified the situation. Hannah is not sticking around as a contestant, according to them. The Bachelor’s host, Chris Harrison, is explaining why Hannah has returned to begin with, and it has to do with some unfinished business for the former love birds. On Hannah’s franchise comeback, Harrison told E!:

I think it's something that needed to be dealt with, the relationship. I think it's a relationship that didn't have a clean, clear break. I think there were and maybe are feelings there, and some underlying feelings that maybe they thought they had both dealt with, but I knew once they saw each other, they probably hadn't really dealt with them all, so I think it's a hurdle that we needed to clear before we moved forward.

Is there such a thing as a clean breakup when it comes to The Bachelor/Bachelorette? The structure of the series makes recovery time between heartaches brief. For Hannah and Peter to get a chance to clarify their status makes sense to me. How else can Peter find everlasting love on The Bachelor? He needs to settle previous affairs of the heart!

Spoilers have revealed who makes it to the final four, and there is more! Peter is already done filming his season, and spoilers have also revealed his final two. Bachelor fans do not have too much longer to wait and see how Hannah and Peter’s reunion plays into his picks. Word is already out that the upcoming season of The Bachelor will not have “a normal ending.”

When you bring back the Bachelorette that did not choose the new Bachelor, anything sort of goes at this point. Fresh off of making some key reveals about the new season of The Bachelor, Chris Harrison is keeping the tease train coming! And, what he says about Hannah and Peter working through any lingering feelings is intriguing.

I would imagine that Peter’s potential love interests would like to know that that ship has docked. You may thinking: What is one more romantic interest for him? Well, Hannah and Peter have had more history together than most of those competing for Peter’s heart during his season. Plus, Hannah did say she was in love with him. Drama!

Tune in to find out if “Pilot Pete” finds eternal love when The Bachelor premieres this winter on January 6, 2020. One season of The Bachelor is currently streaming on Netflix. It will soon be joined by new 2020 content.
