What would a season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians be without a healthy dose of family drama? Season 17 of the smash E! hit ended back in mid-December 2019, but Kim Kardashian is already hyping some violent drama that's coming in Season 18, and it's courtesy of her relationship with Kourtney Kardashian. Something will go south between the sisters in the new season!

Kim Kardashian revealed that the situation with Kourtney gets "a little violent," joking that she might "need an attorney" when Season 18 kicks off in March 2020. While Kim didn't get into details of the level of violence or what prompts it, she did elaborate on Laura Wasser's iHeartRadio podcast All's Fair (via People) on what's in store:

It gets a lot worse before it gets better. But you know, we’re a really close family. It all works out.

What's family without a little conflict to prompt jokes about needing a lawyer? In all seriousness, Kim Kardashian technically never stated that Season 18 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians shows her getting physically violent with her sister, and Kourtney Kardashian has been known to drop some scathing comments. Could Kim and Kourtney just get verbally violent with each other?

That would track with Kim's statement that it "gets a lot worse" before it gets better. I doubt they'd be physically going at each other for an extended period of time! That said, Kim's comments really do suggest that there might be a physical aspect to the "violent" season between the sisters. Whatever happens to make things "worse" for a time before they get better, at least Kim already gave away that it'll work out in the end!

While Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans will have to wait until Season 18 premieres to find out exactly what happens between Kim and Kourtney Kardashian that prompted violence, Season 17 ended with some unfinished business between them (with sister Khloé in the mix as well). Kim and Khloé accused Kourtney of not pulling her weight and refusing to shoot in certain circumstances, with Kourtney claiming in the Season 17 finale that she'd hit her breaking point.

According to Kim and Khloé Kardashian in Season 17, Kourtney's "boundaries" and determination to keep some parts of her life private meant that they had to do more work and share more about their lives. Kim went so far as to hint that she would fire Kourtney, although the sisters are reportedly equal-level executive producers with each other. If Kourtney leaves Keeping Up with the Kardashians, it will presumably not be because Kim decided to fire her.

Are professional disagreements over how much Kourtney Kardashian does (or doesn't) share on the show what drives the violence in Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 18? We'll have to wait and see. Season 18 of the series premieres on E! in late March. If you need some TV options between now and late March, our 2020 winter and spring premiere schedule can help you out.
