Chase Stokes And Outer Banks Stars Celebrate Season 2 Renewal With Fun Video

outer banks season 2 renewal cast

Outer Banks Season 1 was a regular within Netflix’s most watched TV shows after it premiered in April. The wait for updates hasn’t been too long, but the good news is finally here. Outer Banks has been renewed for Season 2 at Netflix! Series star Chase Stokes and the rest of the cast recently celebrated the renewal news in a very fun video.

The treasure-hunting teen drama is chock full of teen angst, romance, and adventure. Basically, if you’re missing the pool and the beach this summer, Outer Banks might be your thing. Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger that saw certain characters sailing toward the Bahamas and away from authorities, so it’s a bit of relief that the series has been renewed to give viewers a chance to finally learn what happens in the aftermath. In a video posted to Instagram, the Outer Banks cast members were ecstatic about the renewal news. Watch their reactions below!

The cast is so thrilled by the news, with Madelyn Cline saying that she’ll “catch ya in the Bahamas.” Considering that's Sarah and John B.'s preferred destination, that sounds like a proper tease for where the second season will kick things off. Meanwhile, Jonathan Daviss thanked everyone who watched and supported the show, adding that he and the cast “can’t wait to get started” on Season 2.

The series was previously in renewal limbo, but it has now joined Never Have I Ever in getting another season to work its magic on younger viewers. Even before the Season 2 news dropped, Outer Banks creator Jonas Pate already had plans for the future of the show. In fact, Pate believes the drama could go on for at least four or five seasons, and he hopes that they’ll “get a chance to actually tell those stories.”

Besides the fun reaction video, Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, and a few others from the cast shared individual posts regarding the Season 2 renewal news. To be fair, they’re not quite as good as the group cast video, but the posts did include a nice look at the Season 2 poster. Take a look:

Jonathan Daviss was so excited that he used all caps to blast Pope’s catchphrase out. Check out what he had to say about the renewal below.

See you guys soon. WOOGITY WOOGITY.

You can feel the enthusiasm from the cast, right? They really can’t wait to get back to it. As of right now, however, there’s no telling when the cast and crew of Outer Banks will get started on filming Season 2. TV productions are slowly beginning to get back to filming, but it might be a while before we hear about production getting underway for the Netflix series. Nothing has been confirmed, but keep an ear out.

While fans wait for more news on Season 2, Outer Banks Season 1 is currently available to stream on Netflix. For more on what to watch in the coming months, be sure to check out our 2020 fall TV premiere guide.
