90 Day Fiance's Paul Claims Karine Tried To Kill Him

Paul 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? TLC

The latest season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? has been rough for Paul Staehle and Karine Martins as they looked to re-establish their lives in the move from Brazil to Kentucky. It has not been an easy road, and given the recent updates on their relationship, things didn't get much better after filming. Currently, the couple is legally required to stay away from each other due to court orders filed by Karine, alleging abuse.

Paul recently filed some court documents of his own, and according to what was obtained by Us Weekly, he made some pretty big allegations about his relationship with Karine. Paul says his estranged wife not only shoved him down during an altercation but also attempted to kill him in an unconventional way.

I previously found glass in my food. I found similar glass shards from an item she broke.

Paul Staehle's statement came after Karine Martin's claims in an Emergency Protective Order, which Paul shared on social media. The reports claimed that Paul regularly withheld important documents like her green card, and installed cameras to track her activity in the home. Karine also said that Paul had physically abused her, as well as raped her throughout the course of their relationship. Paul told followers he was shocked by the allegations, and that he suspected someone wrote that in the documents without her knowledge.

The 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star continued in his court document and alleged that Karine Martins allowed their one-year-old son Pierre escape the house and hide in chemical cabinets. Paul Staehle also said that friends of the couple have gotten involved in their lives, and sent him threats as well.

Friends have been calling me threatening to come to my home and kill me. They requested I pay them $10,000 or I would never see my son again.

The couple's situation on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? has seemed fairly tame in comparison to the recent things that have been alleged in court documents. With that being said, it is clear that Karine expected Paul to step up and provide financially when they moved to America and has been displeased with his progress so far. Karine has also been displeased with the fact that Paul's family has not helped them out financially, or has been as supportive as her family was back in Brazil.

Paul Staehle posted a picture of a one-way plane ticket close to Karine Martin's hometown in Brazil recently, which caused some speculation as to what it meant. It's possible Paul could be headed to Brazil in an attempt to make contact with Karine's family, or he simply offered her a one-way ticket back to her home to put an end to this growing saga. Only time will tell, and for now, we have to wonder if the 90 Day Fiancé franchise will continue to highlight the couple.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? airs on TLC Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for more on the franchise, and for the latest news happening in television and movies.
