It's been an exciting debut week for Dancing with the Stars. The good news was that the Season 29 premiere did well in the ratings and, now, it seems one dance moment made Lady Gaga cry. Yes, the same pop star who brought tears to the eyes of those who saw A Star Is Born. If you recall, one dancing duo did the Cha-cha-cha to one of Lady Gaga’s songs.

One-time Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe performed her and returning Dancing with the Stars vet Artem Chigvintsev’s Cha-cha-cha to Lady Gaga’s “Stupid Love.” Chigvintsev did not miss a beat, as he stepped back on the dance floor with his celebrity partner, who shined in her debut performance. Bristowe and Chigvintsev scored 20 points out of a possible 30, and Lady Gaga had this reaction to the dancing moment:

I don'tt find Lady Gaga’s reaction strange at all. It's actually happened to me more than once while tuning into Dancing with the Stars through the years. Kaitlyn Bristowe’s joy at being a part of the show, and new dad Artem Chigvintsev’s excitement at being back on the show all felt palatable. I say more power to Lady Gaga for getting moved to tears over it. There's nothing like witnessing sheer happiness.

Plus, the Dancing with the Stars duo had a pretty strong debut, with judge Bruno Tonioli expressing tremendous enthusiasm for their performance. Tonioli’s fellow judge, Carrie Ann Inaba, gave the couple their lowest score with a 6, while Tonioli and new judge Derek Hough each awarded them with a 7. And Lady Gaga didn't mention it, but I will -- Bruno is sporting silver hair now!

Can you imagine the amazing looks Lady Gaga would do if she participated as a celebrity competitor? I think she would crush it. That said, between new host Tyra Banks and an emotional Lady Gaga, Season 29 got off to a pretty eventful start.

Dancing with the Stars will return this week with more dancing and more music. It'll be interesting to see if the show follows up its Lady Gaga selection with another one. I just want someone to perform to “Speechless” or “Brown Eyes.” Is that too much to ask? In unrelated news, it was nice of Lady Gaga to take a moment to shout out the performance, especially since she's been super busy. Despite the quarantine, the pop star recently managed to put together an at-home concert event.

You can keep watching to see if more Lady Gaga songs get danced to when new episodes of Dancing with the Stars Season 29 continuing airing Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. In the meantime, check out what other shows are waltzing onto this fall’s schedule.
