90 Day Fiance's Kalani And Asuelu Finally Admit His Sister Sends Money To Samoa

Warning! The following contains spoilers for the 90 Day Fiancé: HEA Stikes Back episode "Ultimatums And Ugly Truths." Read at your own risk!

90 Day Fiancé: HEA Strikes Back is another 90 Day Fiancé recap show with cast members responding to the criticisms they received in their seasons and giving some added insight into all that went down in their stories. The latest episode gave some more background into the money battle between Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa's family, and we learned more about Asuelu's sister Tammy and why she was so worked up during the season.

Tammy was certainly villainized in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? for demanding Asuelu send his family loads of money he didn't have while dodging questions from Kalani and her family about how much she sent to Samoa. In some added commentary in the episode, Kalani seemed to have changed her views on Tammy's attitude and seemed to see her sister-in-law's perspective on the situation a bit clearer. Kalani said:

Well, I do think that Tammy paid her dues. And she's spent, what, she's been here like 14 years? She's been sending money home for a decade and a half, so I think she is done and ready to move it on to you [Asuelu].

Kalani Faagata understands that Tammy wanted off the hook, though that still didn't change the fact Asuelu Pulaa's family in Samoa wanted money he didn't have. For that reason, Kalani refused to give the amount the family asked, which eventually led to a dramatic scene in which Tammy had to be held back while screaming that she would beat up Kalani. The moment ultimately caused major friction between Kalani and Asuelu as they then got into an argument about which of the two would win in a fight.

With that being said, Kalani and her family frequently liked to ask Tammy how much money she sent to Samoa, knowing that Tammy wouldn't feel comfortable answering the question. In reality, Tammy sent money to the country for quite a long time, and Asuelu was apparently aware of this based on his comments during 90 Day Fiancé: HEA Stikes Back.

My sisters do send a lot of money home too. They really help[ed] a lot too growing up.

Perhaps at the time of the tell-all, the situation was just too fresh for Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa to admit that. Tensions were still running high between all parties involved, and it was still a question whether or not Kalani and Asuelu would still be a couple by the time the tell-all was over. Now in cooler times they can look at it with a cooler perspective, and admit that they can at least understand why Tammy was so passionate.
