Since the firing of Gina Carano, Disney and Lucasfilm have reportedly had to make a few changes. Carano’s character on The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, will likely be written, and reports suggest the character will be replaced in the spinoff series Rangers of the New Republic. Hasbro has also stopped production on Cara Dune action figures in the wake of the star’s dismissal. Now, it’s been reported that one of Carano’s TV appearances has been removed from Disney+’s schedule.

Nat Geo’s Running Wild with Bear Gryllis will soon be returning for its sixth season, which is due to drop on the network and Disney+. When the listing for the new episodes officially dropped (via What’s New on Disney Plus), Gina Carano was listed as one of the actors slated to appear in the star-studded season. Carano even posted about her experience filming with Gryllis. But now, recently released episode guides from sites like TVMaze exclude Gina Carano’s episode.

Gina Carano’s episode of Running Wild With Bear Gryllis would have seen the pair venture to the Dolomites mountain range in Italy. The actress also mentioned in her Twitter post that she “faced some fears” during the experience.

Lucasfilm severed ties with Gina Carano last month after the actress posted a message on social media that appeared to compare the current political to Nazi Germany. Carano said she found out about the two companies’ decision through social media. The cast and crew of The Mandalorian have mostly stayed quiet on the situation, though Bill Burr did provide some blunt thoughts.

Gina Carano had previously come under fire for her social media activity, which saw her share posts expressing anti-mask sentiments during the ongoing pandemic and election-related posts including voter fraud conspiracy theories. She also received backlash for posts that were deemed transphobic. In the past, acknowledged her social media presence, saying that she knows her opinions are not for everyone, while also stating that she would aim to focus on the more positive responses to her messages.

Since her dismissal, Gina Carano has spoken on her experiences with Disney and Lucasfilm. In her first interview after the firing, she claimed she was one of several people who had been bullied by the corporation and studio. She also believes she was being “head-hunted” while working for the company.

Gina Carano appears to have maintained a steady amount of support from fans, judging by her social media following. Shortly after she was let go, she also landed a job with The Daily Wire, and she’s currently set to develop, produce and star in a new film for the media company.

At this time, neither Disney nor National Geographic have officially confirmed the removal of Gina Carano’s episode. The new season of Running Wild with Bear Gryllis premieres on March 29.
