Watch Supernatural's Sam And Eileen Come To A Touching Agreement Before A Dangerous Mission In New Deleted Scene

A television era ended in 2020 with the series finale of Supernatural, closing out a fifteenth and final season that brought Sam and Dean Winchester's fight full circle as they took on their greatest foe of all: God. The good news is that all 327 episodes can now be watched and rewatched, and a deleted scene (seen above) showing Sam and Eileen coming to an agreement before Team Free Will takes off on a dangerous mission from the Supernatural: The Complete Series Blu-ray (available May 25th) proves that there are still more gems to discover from the series.

This deleted scene was cut from Episode 8 of Season 15, called "Our Father, Who Aren't In Heaven" (directed by recurring guest star Richard Speight Jr.) and shows Sam and Dean Winchester along with the loyal Castiel preparing for their mission to go to Hell as part of their effort to defeat God with a spell of Rowena's, but not before Sam shares a sweet moment with Eileen as he fumbles to try and convince her that she needs to stay behind while the other three head into action in Hell. Fortunately for Sam, Eileen was in no rush to return to Hell, and they came to an agreement that really proves again how great a match she was for Sam.

The scene also highlights the tension that existed between Dean and Cas at the time, when Dean was still refusing to forgive Cas and Cas clearly not enjoying the awkwardness. But hey, Castiel healed his hand, and the very next episode would prove pivotal for their dynamic in Season 15 as it marked the end of an arc of fighting between them, and set up a very different arc that ended in Castiel's big reveal. And fortunately, reliving those arcs with some extra bonus material will soon be easy! Supernatural: The Complete Series will be available on both Blu-ray and DVD starting on Tuesday, May 25th from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

The box set will be packed with special features as well as all 327 episodes of the fifteen seasons and this particular deleted scene. The bonus disc of special features will include featurettes like Supernatural: The End of the Road, Supernatural: The Long Road Home special retrospective, Supernatural: Family Don't End in Blood, deleted scenes, the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con panel, a gag reel, and more. Supernatural gag reels are all but the stuff of legend thanks to the antics of series stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, so that alone is a solid reason to check out the special features disc!

The box set also comes with a 68-page collectible book with images from the series, set designs, and more. If you're a Supernatural fan missing the series in the first year since 2004 that no new episodes have aired, or if you're a newcomer interested in checking out the iconic TV show, the complete series on Blu-ray and DVD is a great place to dive in. Supernatural: The Complete Series will be available for purchase from Amazon and other retailers beginning on May 25th, and you can preorder now.

Both Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles have landed new shows since the end of Supernatural, with Padalecki sticking around his longtime home on The CW to star in Walker and Ackles reuniting with Supernatural creator Eric Kripke for a role in Season 3 of The Boys.
