Love is once again in the air for one of the Kardashians, as oldest sibling Kourtney is currently in a relationship with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. Based on the PDA they’ve displayed on social media and in public, the two seem to be getting along quite well. However, their romance has spurred a bit of drama, particularly Travis Barker’s ex-wife, Shanna Moakler. The Hollywood Exes alum previously claimed that she held no “ill will” towards Kardashian but in a recent interview, accused her and sister Kim of “destroying” her family “twice.” While Kourtney Kardashian has remained quiet on the comments, Barker appears to have subtly responded.
While Shanna Moakler initially claims that she was not upset by Kourtney Kardashian getting involved with ex Travis Barker, she seems to have changed her tune just a bit. She’s since claimed that the reason she and Barker divorced is because he and Kim Kardashian allegedly had an affair. And in her most recent comments from this weekend, Moakler doubled down on that claim, saying that her family is now “broken” and that she and her children are “alienated from each other.”
Well, this week, Travis Barker took to Instagram to post a photo of himself looking both relaxed and serious. Shanna Moakler is not mentioned anywhere in the post, and it’s unclear if his brief (and direct) caption was directed towards her. Regardless of who he’s talking to, the message is very clear. Travis Barker manages to keep his caption pretty ambiguous, but it’s interesting that such a post would come following Shanna Moakler’s comments from the past weekend. And on a side note, one can’t help but notice that Barker’s “Kourtney” tattoo is clear to see in the photo.
Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker were originally married from 2004 to 2008, and they share two children, daughter Alabama and older son Landon. While Moakler claims she’s alienated from her kids because of Kourtney Kardashian, her children say this estrangement has been the case for a while.
After Shanna Moakler made her claims against Kim Kardashian, Alabama Barker took to social media to respond to her mother and ultimately accused her of being an absent parent. In a separate social media media message, son Landon appeared to echo his sister’s sentiments.
A representative for Kim Kardashian has since shot down the claims of an extramarital affair. The rep alleges that Kardashian and Travis Barker were only friends who met through mutual pal Paris Hilton.
Despite Shanna Moakler’s thoughts on Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s relationship, many fans seem to be all for it. Even Kardashian’s family and close friends are fascinated by the couple’s infatuation with each other. And if there’s anything that’s become clear about the romance, it’s that the two celebrities don’t seem to have time for any haters.
