Jennifer Aniston Has A Message (And Behind-The-Scenes Photos) For The Fans Following The Friends Reunion

Jennifer Aniston Friends reunion

After months and months of waiting, the Friends reunion is finally available streaming and interest surrounding Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer finally hanging out again has been very high. Now, Aniston herself is thanking the fanbase for tuning in and sharing some of the footage she herself took behind the scenes on the set.

The actress, who played Rachel Green for all of Friends’ 10 seasons on the air, was one of the main leads who came back for the reunion. That reunion took a lot to come to fruition. Initially, Friends was a popular Netflix property that shifted to HBO Max (saddening Netflix subscribers) as that streamer was coming together. Now, Jennifer Aniston is thanking the fans for their support and their patience when it came to the one that nearly got away, aka Friends: The Reunion.

It isn't uncommon for actors or actresses these days to go to social media to share their thanks. In fact, that's one of the many ways social media has positively affected interactions with the fanbase. Still, it's a fun post and she isn’t the only Friends cast member to share behind-the-scenes looks at the reunion. Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay, also took to Instagram to share a look at herself reuniting with David Schwimmer.

Clearly, the entire reunion event was special for fans, but it was special for the cast of the long-running series as well. (Not to be a cynic here, but I'm assuming the price tag the Friends cast was paid helped the enthusiasm factor at least a little.) Previously Courteney Cox even said that it was "emotional to be back on the stage where they made many memories -- some which have stuck with Cox for longer than others -- over the years, telling Ellen:

It was unbelievable. It was so emotional. It's an unscripted reunion, but we got to be on Stage 24 for the first time, all of us in, like, I forgot how many years. 15 years? 17 years? ... Oh god, I have the worst memory. Everything came up that I forgot about.

Ultimately, despite delays, Friends: The Reunion was able to record in November 2020, as some TV productions were still getting back into full swing. The special ultimately hit HBO Max at the tail end of May and featured memorable guest appearances, a return to some of the iconic Friends locations, viral moments from the cast and much, much more. It's likely a TV special that will be a water cooler reunion for a few more weeks, so if you haven't checked it out yet, give it a whirl. Or just go ahead and revisit your favorite episodes of the comedy classic sometime soon.
