Well, Well, Well, Could Kim Kardashian Withdraw Her Divorce From Kanye West Petition After All?

Rumblings of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's marital issues first began last year. On his presidential campaign trail, West was prone to a lot of shocking outbursts, which concerned his wife and her family of reality TV stars. Kardashian, in turn, featured West less and less on her social media, until she finally filed for divorce back in February. But in the latest strange turn of events in their relationship timeline, Kardashian might just withdraw her petition after all.

According to sources for TMZ, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West could possibly get back together. They in fact claim that the two have been “working on rebuilding the foundation of their relationship.” On all known accounts, the divorce is still technically ongoing. But supposedly, dropping the divorce petition isn’t out of the question for the former couple, if that is indeed what could be best for them and their four kids.

There is certainly evidence to support speculation that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are working on their relationship, despite the looming divorce petition. The two were actually spotted not too long ago having a private lunch together, as well as participating in a family outing. Whether they are linking up to remain friendly as they co-parent their kids or for something more isn't clear as of yet, but it's definitely quick progress from their drama we saw play out on Keeping Up with the Kardashians during the final season.

Moreover, Kim Kardashian has been lending her support and presence to all three of Kanye West’s Donda listening parties. Interestingly, at the last event, Kardashian wore a full-length wedding gown. On the one hand, it could be their joint creative decision to mirror the themes in his new album, which does in fact reference their marriage and divorce. On the other hand, perhaps Kimye is trying to convey something deeper about their relationship.

If Kim Kardashian were to withdraw the divorce petition and give Kanye West another chance, though, it would be in stark contrast with all that's transpired this past year. Supposedly, Kanye West had even started dating model Irina Shayk and unfollowed all the Kardashians on Twitter. West and Shayk have reportedly already split up, which could possibly explain why he and his thought-to-be ex-wife are making new headway in their relationship.

Still, the Kardashian-Jenners are known to give their significant others a second chance, or two. Khloe Kardashian took Tristan Thompson back multiple times after cheating allegations surfaced, though the last of which was reportedly the straw that broke the camel's back. Even Kylie Jenner is rumored to be pregnant again with ex Travis Scott. So if Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were able to find a way forward post-divorce, it wouldn't exactly be a new concept for the family.

Divorces are obviously not ideal when you have a family of four young children. Neither is staying in an unhappy marriage. We'll leave it to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to settle whichever path is right for them.
