Honey Boo Boo's Sister Might Get Her Own Reality Show

Hey, remember a few months ago when Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was canceled over child molestation concerns? Well, as it turns out, we may not have seen the last from the Thompson and Shannon families. Now, Honey Boo Boo’s sister Anna “Chickadee” Shannon Cardwell has hired an agent and is shopping around a brand new reality series. Oh goody.

Luckily or unluckily, the show Anna is shopping would not be as Honey Boo Boo-centric as the last series. If you aren’t caught up on the antics of the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo clan, Chickadee is the sister who had a baby, Kaitlyn, early on in the show. Then, during the Season 4 finale, Anna married her longtime beau, Michael, and they moved to Alabama to spend time with his family. The show Anna is pitching would mostly follow Anna, Michael and the kid, with guest appearances from the likes of Honey Boo Boo and Mama June.

Basically, she’s pitching a reality series about two 20 somethings still trying to find their way in the world, oh and doing some of the usual things, including “hunting” and “fishing.” Plus, TMZ is reporting that Mark McDaniel, aka the child molester who once molested Chickadee as a kid, will definitely be “fair game” to be discussed on the series. Although Anna’s been pretty open about her experiences already.

If you’ve been keeping tabs on TLC’s former reality series, you’ll know that the popular show was rocked a few months ago following Mama June's split with Sugar Bear. After the break-up, Mama June reportedly began dating registered sex offender Mark McDaniel—a man she had previously dated more than a decade ago and who was actually sent to jail after police learned he had molested the then 8-year-old Chickadee. While Mama June denied dating McDaniel, the controversy quickly became a big deal and TLC had to make a decision about whether or not to keep Here Comes Honey Boo Boo on the air.

In October, the network canceled the series, distancing itself from the child molestation drama. Since then, all has been quiet on the Thompson/Shannon front. Well, except for that porn that Mama June and Sugar Bear were offered.

Currently, neither TLC nor any other network seems to be interested in another show about Anna or the rest of her famous family. TLC has, however, greenlit My Husband’s Not Gay, a new reality special which will hit the channel this Sunday.
