In the wake of it’s recent (official) cancellation by Fox, and despite the possibility that the adventure/drama series might find a second chance somewhere else, another Terra Nova star has moved on for pilot project. Allison Miller is set to play a role in NBC’s comedy pilot by Scott Silveri, Go On.
Deadline shared the news, stating that Miller, who played Skye on Fox’s Terra Nova, is set to play a role in NBC’s Go On. The pilot already has Matthew Perry on board to star as Ryan, a sportscaster who is attempting to recover from a loss and finds support in a mandatory support group. Miller will play Ryan’s “quirky assistant.”
From what Deadline is reporting, Miller is being billed as a guest star in the pilot due to her contractual obligations to Terra Nova, which puts the series in first position to anything else. As Terra Nova is being shopped around at other networks (or possibly Netflix), there’s a chance the show will live on, in which case it sounds like Skye will still be a part of the show, and we might not expect to see Miller in Go On beyond the pilot, should the comedy receive a series order.
The same is apparently not the case for Christine Adams, who was recently cast in the ABC pilot Americana and was released early from Terra Nova. Adams’ character will apparently not be returning for Season 2, should Terra Nova find a way to stick around.
