A Former Chicago P.D. Star Just Landed A Major Gig, And Is Already Talking Cameos From One Chicago Friends
Cameos might be coming.
As Chicago P.D. prepares for a new season on the 2026 TV schedule, a former star is making waves with her own new show. After returning to the NBC procedural earlier this year for the big One Chicago crossover, Tracy Spiridakos is officially starring in USA’s Anna Pigeon. Even though the first episode just premiered, she’s already talking about cameos from her One Chicago friends.
Anna Pigeon premiered on USA Network on Friday, centering on Spiridakos’ titular park ranger detective who solves crimes that have taken place within national park grounds following a devastating loss. With the series taking a “case-of-the-week” approach, this opens up a whole door of possibilities. Not to mention the fact that the beginning of a series is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the main characters. Spiridakos told Us Weekly that while she would love for any of her former P.D. co-stars to join the fun, she’s had a request from one specific person already:
I love them all so much. So I would love for them to all come play. Jason [Beghe] sent me a video where he said he wanted to play my dad. And when I got the part, he sent me a video saying congratulations on my first day — and that he wanted to come play my dad.
Considering Jason Beghe’s Hank Voight was basically a father figure to Spiridakos’ Hailey Upton on Chicago P.D., it would only make sense for them to play an actual father-daughter duo. It might be hard considering P.D. is currently filming, but Beghe sounds determined to make it happen. And I would love nothing more than to see them reunite once again, and this time, playing different characters.
Not surprisingly, a lot of fans have been voicing their opinions on which Chicago P.D. favorites they want to see on Anna Pigeon. Spiridakos revealed there is one person that people can’t stop talking about and what role they should do, and I am 100% behind this:
I’ve heard them say that they want Jesse [Lee Soffer] to come and play a villain on the show. I’m up for that. So that would be fun.
It would be so fun to not only have Jesse Lee Soffer on Anna Pigeon, but to have him play the bad guy. He’s been the good guy on Chicago P.D. and FBI: International. It’s only right to play the villain one of these days, especially if he’s going up against his significant other. Seeing Soffer and Spiridakos on-screen together again during the One Chicago crossover this year was so great, and it only makes sense that fans are itching for more in whatever way, shape, or form. Plus, having Soffer on Anna Pigeon would sort of make up for not having Spiridakos on FBI: International, something that I’m still bummed about.
Anna Pigeon just premiered, so there is still plenty of time to make these One Chicago guest appearances happen. If anything, the series is already pretty good. So even without them, fans should be tuning in. New episodes of Anna Pigeon air on Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network. All episodes of Chicago P.D. are streaming with a Peacock subscription, with Season 14 set to premiere on Wednesday, October 7 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
