The Voice Season 3 First Look Video Shows Aspiring Singers And Competitive Coaches

The Voice returns tonight for the start of its three-night premiere week for Season 3. Let the blind auditions begin! Those who don't want to wait until tonight for a glimpse at the talent set to be featured can check out this First Look video, which includes footage from the blind auditions.

The Voice is a singing competition, which begins with contestants auditioning to the backs of the four celebrity mentors. If their voice appeals to one or more of the coaches, they'll hit their button to turn their chair around. If more than one coach turns around, the singer gets to decide which coach they want to work with. And if no chairs turn, they're out of the running.

Coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have both had a winner. Will Season 3 be the season for Christina Aguilera or Cee Lo Green? Or will Blake or Adam secure another win this season? I suppose it's not about the coaches. It's about the singers! But let's face it, there's definitely a competitive spirit among the coaches, and we see some of that in the video below, along with a few snippets of the blind auditions.

As a fan of the blind audition process and those excellent swiveling chairs, I'll be looking forward to seeing which aspiring contestants capture the attention of the judges using only the power of their voice.

The Voice Season 3 premieres tonight at 8/7c on NBC.
