Earlier this month, it was reported that Melissa McCarthy would be returning to Saturday Night Live for the second time in two years. Today, NBC has made it official, announcing that the Identity Thief star will host an episode, which is set to air early next month, and adding that Phoenix will serve as the musical guest. The network also announced that Vince Vaughn is set to host an episode as well.

Last week, US Weekly got the scoop on McCarthy's return for her second hosting stint on the NBC sketch comedy series, following up on her successful turn as host back in 2011. SNL added to that last Saturday night, during Justin Timberlake's episode by including notification that McCarthy's episode will air April 6 and that Phoenix would serve as the musical guest for the episode. Check out their single "Entertainment" off their upcoming album Bankrupt! here.

Also on deck to host is Vince Vaughn, who has The Internship set to hit theaters this summer. His episode of SNL will air April 13. Grammy Award winner Miguel will be serving as the musical guest for the episode.

The last time Vince Vaughn hosted SNL was back in 1998, fifteen years ago. Considering his successful film career in the years that followed, it's surprising that he hasn't been back on the show since. Here's a clip from his episode during Season 24.

This clip is old school… but not to be confused with Old School, of course.
