Wachowski Siblings' Mystery Project Titled CN9, Casting Has Begun

Here's what we know about the Wachowski siblings' next project: Arianna Huffingon, and Jesse Ventura are both involved in some way and wore strange wigs; the movie takes place in the future and looks back on the on-going Iraq War; and the plot somehow revolves around a US soldier and an Iraqi in a homosexual relationship. We've known about the mysterious project since December of last year, but apparently they are only getting into the casting phase now.

Production Weekly has tweeted that casting director Lora Kennedy has officially begun her talent search for the film, which is now titled CN9. Kennedy's previous work includes Speed Racer (the Wachowkis' last film), Syriana, Swordfish, Red Planet, The Boondock Saints and Tombstone.

Obviously a great deal of this film is still a mystery, but it's certainly an intriguing one. The film will likely have its challenges finding a way into the mainstream, but there are plenty of actors out there willing to take a risk. After all, these are still the same directors who brought us The Matrix.
