Rolling Stones Guitarist Ronnie Wood Weds 34-Year-Old, Wears Pink Socks

Sixty-five-year-old Rolling Stones slide guitarist Ronnie Wood married for the third time during a smallish ceremony in London yesterday, wedding thirty-four-year-old theater producer Sally Humphreys. The fifty odd guests watched the couple exchange I-Dos inside the penthouse at the Dorchester Hotel, and by all accounts, the event was filled with plenty of smiles and goodwill.

According to The Sun, Ronnie classed himself up for the event, wearing a dark suit and black tie, though he couldn’t fully lose his over-the-top sensibilities. Whenever his pants jutted up slightly, guests got an eyeful of vibrant pink socks. Sally, on the other hand, decided to wear her mother’s wedding frock, a white, floor length beauty that looked as good on her as it did on her musician mother years ago.

Wood and Humphreys reportedly began dating earlier this year after a period of dramatic upheaval in the guitarist’s personal life. His marriage to his now ex-wife Jo ended a few years ago after more than two decades following an alleged affair he had with a barely legal cocktail waitress. He and the waitress reportedly gave it a go briefly, but it didn’t work out, paving the way for Humphreys to enter his life.

Wood’s longtime buddies Paul McCartney and Rod Stewart attended yesterday’s ceremony, but Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were absent. Pop Blend’s sincerest congratulations go out to Wood and Humphreys as they try to start a new life together. Here’s to hoping this one survives over the long haul.
