The League's Freeze Out Features Timothy Olyphant And Jason Mantzoukas
The League is two solid episodes into Season 4, with "Training Camp" and "The Hoodie" both bringing the goods, but this week's installment looks like it could put the former to shame. Episode 3, "The Freeze Out," doesn't just have the return of everyone's favorite psychopath (more on him later) but also one of the first non-football related big guest stars with Justified's Timothy Olyphant appearing on the FX comedy as a sushi chef.
Yep. Olyphant traded the shotgun and six-shooter for a set of sushi knives and guess what? Still scary. Here's a preview from tomorrow night's episode that shows Ruxin and Kevin having an unfortunate run in with the unusual Shokunin. I googled it.
Olyphant looks as comfortable doing comedy as he does in a ten gallon and, as I said, he's not the only guest making an appearance in "The Freeze Out." While the married men are stuck attending a kid's birthday party, Pete rounds up the bachelors (including twice convicted sex offenders) to play a game of paintball and the show's Facebook Page was kind enough to share the first image of the fracas. I'm sure I'm not the only one exited to see Jason Mantzoukas' Rafi back and looking crazier than ever. El Cuñado!
The League airs Thursdays at 10:30 p.m. ET on FX. Created by Jeff Schaffer and Jackie Marcus Schaffer, the series stars Mark Duplass, Steve Rannazzisi, Nick Kroll, Paul Scheer, Jon Lajoie and Katie Aselton.
