With no new significant competition at the box office this weekend, The Jungle Book held the number one spot for a second weekend in a row.

The Jungle Book delivered the third opening of 2016 above $100 million this weekend, and it's only mid-April! Is that important? Yeah, it is.

Zootopia enjoyed a roaringly strong third weekend, dropping just 25% from last week. That helped it add $38 million this weekend, narrowly cruising past $200 million.

The Revenant finally had its day in the sun (or at least out of the cold) this weekend, holding out a little stronger than its major competition to land a weekend at number one.

Hotel Transylvania 2 proved that the Sony franchise has some strong life behind it, out-performing its predecessor and holding up against the other second-tier animated franchises on the market.

Straight Outta Compton enjoyed a third weekend as number one movie, earning its three-peat not so much on staying power but a lack of anything better showing up to compete.

Three new movies rolled out this weekend but none were big enough to upset last weekend's top two movies.

Straight Outta Compton made a smash arrival in theaters, landing a solid number one debut.
