Eugene Should Have Stayed In His Coma, Miss March Hits DVD And Blu-Ray

Everyone deserves a guilty pleasure once in awhile, but Miss March might be pushing it. If House Bunny flirted with the absurdity line, this film leaps over it. Only 10-year-old boys will jump with joy to find out that Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment is letting the guys of Miss March wreak havoc on DVD and Blu-ray July 28th.

After waking up from a four-year coma, Eugene Pratt (Zach Cregger) finds out that his high school sweetheart, Cindi (Raquel Alessi), is a Playboy Playmate. Alongside his friend Tucker (Trevor Moore), Eugene sets out on a road trip to the Playboy Mansion so he can profess his love for Cindi. Naturally, the task isn’t as simple as getting on the highway and making a b-line for Hugh Hefner’s estate. They’re chased by angry firemen, hang out with a guy named Horsedick (Craig Robinson) and even set a motel room on fire.

Cregger and Moore have to take the blame for this one three times over. Not only did the boys star in the film, but they wrote and directed it too. Pre-Miss March their claim to fame was the TV show The Whitest Kids U’Know so it should have been less of a surprise that this film was packed with poop, F-bombs and sheer stupidity. Their gags may suitable for short skits, but they cannot sustain a feature length film.

If you’re a fan of Cregger and Moore you can pick up Miss March on DVD for $27.98 or on Blu-ray for $39.99. The DVD comes with the theatrical and unrated versions of the movie. Special features include the censored version of the “Down & Dirty” featurette and the viral videos “Timmy’s Audition” and “Darren’s Audition.” If you opt for the BD, you’ll also get three additional viral videos, “Sound Design,” “Sam’s Audition” and “Lesbians’ Audition” as well as the uncensored version of the “Down & Dirty” featurette.

I’d complain about the lack of bloopers, but, odds are, they’d be just as inane as the slapstick in this film.
