New Avengers: Infinity War Posters Are Ominous And Awesome

To face the biggest threat in the universe yet, you need the biggest gathering of heroes yet. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we've seen heroes come together before, but not on the same scale as in Avengers: Infinity War. The Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy and other select protagonist will join forces to stop Thanos from acquiring all six Infinity Stones. With only a few more weeks to go until Infinity War's release, Marvel has dropped a slew of new posters for the blockbuster event, each highlighting one of the important protagonists who will be taking part in this massive conflict. Take a look at Captain America, Iron Man and many, many more, below.

Starting off, we have Steve Rogers (who is no longer going by Captain America), whose new shield is front and center in the awesome new image from Marvel. He's not the only person with a somewhat different look in the upcoming flick, either. We already know that Spidey is getting a new suit and Chris Hemsworth will be sporting an eye patch. In addition, to check out Iron Man's new poster, take a look, below.

Scarlett Johansson is also looking fit as a fiddle in her cool new poster.

Following Black Widow, we'd be remiss if we didn't include an up-close-and-personal look at Black Panther, who only recently became one of Marvel's most popular heroes, thanks to the solo Black Panther movie. (A look at sister and scientific sidekick Shuri can be found in the gallery, below.)

Of the movie, Marvel has said the idea was to "bring together a group of remarkable people to see if we could become something more." This is an impressive collection of posters, but you may have noticed that there are two notable absentees. In keeping with the Avengers: Infinity War marketing so far, Hawkeye and Ant-Man are nowhere to be seen. The Russos have said that Hawkeye will be on his "own journey" during the movie, but we haven't heard at all how Ant-Man fits into the story. Fortunately, fans are guaranteed to see the shrinking hero in action this year thanks to Ant-Man and the Wasp.

There were 22 posters in total Marvel released this week, and if you'd like to take a look at a slew of them, you can do so with our gallery, below. Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on April 27, and don't forget to look through our Marvel movies guide to learn what else the MCU has in development.
