Borderlands 2 PC Features Include FOV Slider, Higher Resolutions

Today Gearbox Software announced several PC-specific features for their co-op shooter Borderlands 2. They revealed this features via a love letter from the game's robotic mascot Claptrap.

"You said you wanted me to have better menus. And I listened, baby. I have a 100% commitment to our relationship, so I made 100% of the menus in Borderlands 2 mouse usable," reads the letter. Click or scroll whatever you want. I won't complain."

There's a full page of that sort of PC pillow-talk. Below that, they provide a less romantic bulleted list of features (thanks, Blue):

  • FOV Slider
  • 100% Mouse Usable Menus/Mouse wheel scrolling
  • Remapabble keybindings for Keyboard/mouse
  • PC Specific UI
  • Native Multiplayer Matchmaking
  • Push to Talk
  • Logitech Keyboard Support
  • LAN Support (incluing OFFLINE mod)
  • Control Pad Support
  • Integrated V-Snyc Option
  • Support for higher resolutions
  • Mouse Smoothing Options (can be disabled completely)
  • Cloud Save Support
  • Achievement Support
  • Friends List Support
  • No Port Forwarding required

Gearbox previously announced that BL2 will ship with Steamworks integration. That's where the Achievements, cloud saving, and other features come from.

BL2 will arrive on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in September.
