It’s going down, everybody! It. Is. Going. DOWN! AreaNet has released a new trailer for upcoming MMORPG, Guild Wars 2, boasting an August 28 release date.
Other than some pretty epic “call to action” CG footage, the Get Ready trailer offers little more than an absolute declaration that 8-28-12 is the date for Guild Wars fans to etch into their collective memories. Beta tests will wrap up the weekend of July 20 and, after that, you’ll just have to wait for the game to finally launch a few short weeks later.
While the bulk of Guild Wars 2 is standard fare for MMOs (Fantasy races waging war with ancient evils to save the world), the developers have promised that this iteration will set itself apart from the pack with a storyline that adapts to the individual player. Beta testing has yielded solid reactions up until this point, so we’ll just have to wait and see how the final product turns out when it finally releases late this summer.

You could basically chalk up this latest trailer as a teaser trailer for the eventual launch trailer. It doesn't really reveal anything new about the game most die-hard fans didn't already know but it does a fair job of showing off even more epic gameplay...as if the other trailers weren't epic enough.
Guild Wars 2 is shaping up to be one of the most highly anticipated game releases this year, with tons of hype surrounding the game. It will be interesting to see if the game actually does live up to the hype.
