Starting today, the streaming Netflix service on Xbox Live utilizes Kinect technology. Kinect allows you to watch movies or television shows without using a controller.
The patch with Kinect support can be downloaded by starting up Netflix. After that's been installed, you'll be able to play, pause, fast forward and rewind your shows and movies with your voice or hand gestures. A new recommendations channel, based on your viewing habits, can be navigated in the same way.
The Xbox 360 Netflix application is available for Xbox Live Gold members in both the United States and Canada. You'll also need a $7.99 streaming Netflix subscription or one of the more expensive plans.
