Lead Singer Of Sex Bob-Omb Casts 2 Year Old Son In New Movie

Will Smith might be hellbent on turning his kids into stars, but he has nothing on Mark Webber. The thirty year old actor, best known as the lead singer of Scott Pilgrim’s band Sex Bob-Omb, has begun work on a directorial effort that stars his two year old son. He’s apparently seen some of the fallout from Jon & Kate Plus 8 and has decided to eschew the normal cinematic tools for Canon 5D cameras to be operated by himself and two assistants. Probably a wise move.

According to THR, the film is a pretty close take on his life and will follow the relationship between a father and his son after the mother passes away. Michael Cera, Amanda Seyfried, Jason Ritter and Shannyn Sossamon have boarded the project, though how much they’ll be involved is anyone’s guess.

The whole thing is being shot for less than a million dollars, so expect this to be hitting the festival circuit before getting to a theater near you.
