Some friendships can last a lifetime, and for IT's Losers' Club, that bond could mean the difference between life and death. In fact, with IT: Chapter Two's main cast now fully-assembled, the highly-anticipated sequel has commenced production and brought the main ensemble together. On that note, New Line has released a photo of the main cast together, and it will remind you of the bond these characters share. Check out the first official picture of the assembled cast, below!
Beautiful, isn't it? The cast of IT: Chapter Two finally assembled for one glorious picture to get us excited for the sequel, and it has all of the gravitas of a Renaissance painting. From left to right, we see Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, Bill Hader, and Andy Bean.
It genuinely looks like the original Losers' Club from the original IT has grown up and reunited, so we will have to wait and see if the actual on-screen chemistry matches the bond conveyed in this particular photo. Twenty-seven in-universe years may have passed since these characters had their last battle with Pennywise the Dancing Clown (who will once again be played by Bill Skarsgard in the sequel), but this picture does an effective job of conveying the deep histories and relationships shared by these characters.
In addition to the newly-cast adult members of The Losers' Club, it's beginning to look like IT: Chapter Two will also bring back the old favorites from the original film. In fact, James McAvoy recently posted a series of photos from the set of the movie during the earliest days of shooting, and it looked like some of the younger actors had returned to the set. It remains unclear if they were actually performing in the movie or just visiting for the sake of staying friendly with the crew, but it's worth noting that some of the young IT stars did express interest in coming back in a chat with CinemaBlend during an interview last year.
Beyond The Losers' Club, IT: Chapter Two has also begun assembling an exciting ensemble of supporting stars as well. Specifically, the film recently cast Altered Carbon actor Teach Grant to take on the role of Henry Bowers -- seemingly confirming his survival during the climax of the first IT. Additionally, the film has also cast Jess Weixler to play the wife of Bill Denbrough, who will be portrayed by Split star James McAvoy in the new movie.
IT: Chapter Two will hit theaters next year on September 6, 2019.
