DC's live-action universe has seemingly found its footing, as the past few movies have been success. In stark juxtaposition to the poor performance of Justice League, releases like Aquaman and Shazam! brought something new to the DCEU. Warner Bros.' Joker followed, although that's disconnected from the greater shared universe. The next few movies in the DCEU include Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman 1984, and James Gunn's The Suicide Squad. The latter movie has a killer cast playing mysterious roles, and it turns out not even the actors know who everyone is playing. At least, according to Taika Waititi.

Taika Waititi has a busy career as a filmmaker, with work like Jojo Rabbit and Thor: Love and Thunder coming down the pipeline. But he's also an actor, and was recruited to join the cast of The Suicide Squad in an unknown role. Waititi recently spoke to the upcoming blockbuster, saying:

We’re mates and James said, ‘Come and do this thing.' James is brilliant, and it’s just such a crazy big list of people. But I have no idea what any of them are doing.

Damnit, Taika Waititi. Fans are hoping for any and all information about The Suicide Squad. But after his tenure in the MCU, it seems the director has learned how to divert spoiler-ey conversations. That, or he really doesn't know who the cast is playing in the upcoming DC blockbuster.

Taika Waititi's comments to Wired might not reveal any new information about The Suicide Squad, but his inclusion in the all-star cast is going to make moviegoers very happy. Taika Waititi has a specific point of view and sense of humor that really resonates with audiences. His Marvel character Korg was a scene stealer in Ragnarok, even popping up in Avengers: Endgame. Plus, there's his upcoming role as an imaginary Adolf Hitler in Jojo Rabbit.
