The Cord Cutter Podcast #27: Marvel's Runaways

Welcome to the 27th edition of The Cord Cutter Podcast! Shows based on comic books are getting to the point where they're almost a dime a dozen, and now Hulu has gotten into the game with Marvel's Runaways. Join Mick, Adrienne and their guest Adam Holmes as they pick apart the new series and give you all the good, bad and in between of the show. When it was announced that beloved comic Runaways would be getting its own TV series many people were surprised to find out that the show was going to Hulu as opposed to the Marvel streaming series maestros at Netflix. But, it wasn't long before the show began to rack up an impressive cast of folks to play the supervillain parents who vex their do-gooder teen children, so Runaways quickly picked up quite a bit of positive buzz.

Now that we're five episodes in, it's the right time to tell you what we think of Marvel's Runaways. Who are the best characters among the teens and adults? Is the release schedule hurting the show? What do we want to see more (or less) of on the show? Is distancing itself from the rest of the MCU a good idea? Does the series have the right tone? We'll discuss that and much more! Ready to dive in? Great! Read on to get the lowdown on this week's podcast and then listen for yourself above!
