Why Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Are Allegedly Getting A Divorce

Rumors have swirled about marital difficulties between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt recently, but this latest report suggests the marriage may be coming to an official end. Despite what's been previously reported, the alleged split between the Mr. and Mrs. Smith stars isn't related to another woman, but rather, an issue related to their family.
TMZ is reporting that Angelina Jolie has filed for a divorce from Brad Pitt, and the reason she's calling it quits is reportedly due to Brad Pitt's "interaction with their children." and that she's "extremely upset" with his parenting methods. What that means, specifically, we don't know. However, TMZ does note that there is no alleged "third person" involved in this decision.
The mention of a third party may be a nod to recent reports that suggest Brad Pitt might have been having an affair with his Allied co-star Marion Cotillard. Other reports said the couple were fighting over Brad still having feelings for Gwyneth Paltrow, although that one was shot down by another outlet pretty quickly, so maybe not.
Regardless, TMZ's latest report seems to rule out the involvement of another person in this situation. It sounds like Angelina Jolie's decision to call the marriage quits is specifically related to the wellbeing of her children. TMZ says she's seeking physical custody of the children, with visitation rights to their father.
It's not as though this is the first time major rumors of a personal nature have swirled around this couple. The start of Angelina Jolie's relationship with Brad Pitt was cloaked in controversy, as the timeline of their romance may have, um, overlapped a bit with the timeline of Brad Pitt's marriage to Jennifer Aniston, sparking a well publicized scandal. That was back in 2005. More than a decade later, Jolie and Pitt have since married, and built a large family together.
Angelina Jolie adopted her son Maddox in 2002, before she and Brad were together. She later adopted her daughter Zahara in 2005. Brad Pitt became the legal father of the two children in 2006. From there, the couple brought Shiloh into the world in 2006. Their son Pax was adopted in 2007, and then they couple had twins in summer of 2008. If you're keeping count, that's six children shared between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
Assuming this is true, it's sad news for the couple, and the family. Regardless of what turns out to be true, and what's rumor, hopefully they'll sort the matter out in whatever's in the best interest of the family, and the children.
