John Cena And Nikki Bella Have Called Off Their Engagement
Wrestlers John Cena and Nikki Bella were one of the biggest couples in wrestling history -- if not the biggest. Sadly, though, they're no longer together. As it was revealed over the weekend, Cena and Bella have called it quits after six years as a couple. The two were engaged at WrestleMania 33 last year. Here's a statement Nikki Bella's social media released on Sunday announcing the sad break-up news.
This statement certainly comes as a shock and disappointment to many wrestling fans. While Nikki Bella is going through a lot of heartache at the moment, she took the time to tell the fans that her heart remains full thanks to their continued love and support. Bella wrote to them on Instagram, noting:
It was only a year ago when John Cena got down on one knee to propose to Nikki Bella in front of wrestling fans around the world at Wrestlemania 33. The wrestling couple initially didn't make their relationship public, but they have become more open about their love life throughout the years. Case in point, Bella's reality TV series Total Divas (as well as Total Bellas) on E! has followed the female wrestler's emotional journey outside of the ring, especially when it comes to her very public relationship with Cena. Both John Cena and Nikki Bella were previously married before the wrestling couple got engaged on television. While it's not confirmed what caused their recent separation, there's good reason to believe it might've come down to kids.
As it was previously reported, John Cena doesn't want to have children. The 39-year-old wrestler and actor has remained adamant about that topic, but there are reports that Nikki Bella did, in fact, want to have children, and their inability to agree on this crucial issue might've caused their separation. Again, this information is not confirmed by either party, but it would make sense. As much as these two may have loved each other, if John Cena and Nikki Bella can't agree about whether or not they want to have kids later down the road, that could create a lot of arguments and heartbreak in the future.
In addition to Nikki Bella's statement, John Cena also hit up social media, seemingly to indirectly address the recent state of his broken love life.
Outside of wrestling and his love life, John Cena remains busier than ever. He recently stole the show in Blockers, and he was seen in Daddy's Home Two and heard in Ferdinand last year. Cena will also soon be seen in Bumblebee, which storms into theaters on December 21st. It was also recently announced that he'll be lending his voice to the upcoming action-adventure comedy The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle. He'll play Yoshi, the polar bear.
