Cardi B And Offset Are Breaking Up

Offset and Cardi B are no longer together. In a straightforward post on Instagram, the best-selling rap artist admitted to her followers that she has been drifting apart -- romantically -- from her partner for a good while now. While there's a wealth of love between them, particularly with the arrival of their baby, Kulture, she believes their time together as a couple is done. And there's a pretty good chance they might be getting a divorce in the near future.

In the social media video unveiling the break-up news and letting fans know what's going on between her and Offset, Cardi B had the following to say:

Just as quickly as Offset and Cardi B were joined in marriage, the musicians are now officially no longer together romantically. Based on Cardi B's post on Instagram, they will still remain in each other's lives as business partners and parents to Kulture. But they weren't able to work out their differences as a couple, and Cardi B claims they are separating in the near future. We should expect to hear more updates from the one-time couple in the future.

There has been an air of mystery to Offset and Cardi B's relationship from the beginning. For months, the celebrity couple was reported to be engaged to each other, but it was revealed later on that they were actually married, and were never engaged in the first place.

As it was recounted, Offset and Cardi B lied in bed together one morning when Offset asked Cardi if she wanted to get married. She said yes, and in a matter of hours, there was an officiant in their bedroom announcing the couple as husband-and-wife. Only Cardi B's cousin was there to witness the wedding happening.

Offset and Cardi B once had plans to have an official wedding, but those plans are obviously dashed now. Meanwhile, when it came to the pregnancy announcement, Cardi B was initially cautious about revealing the news to the public. But she finally made it official during a performance on Saturday Night Live earlier this year. If nothing else, Offset and Cardi B are happy for the time they spent together since it brought baby Kulture into the world.
