It's official: Cardi B is pregnant! During her recent Saturday Night Live performance over the weekend, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper showed the world her baby bump in a stunning white dress, letting the audience know that the rumors were true. She's having her first child soon. Take a look at the bump.
Yep. There's no denying it. Cardi B has a bun in the oven. As this newest performance makes it clear, Cardi B is ready for the world to know the truth. This newest rendition of "Be Careful," the rapper's second musical act on the late night variety show, doesn't shy away from showing her stomach. It appears Cardi B is ready to be a proud new mommy. So we should expect more updates from the musician's pregnancy soon. In addition to this SNL reveal, Cardi B talked more about her recent pregnancy on Instagram shortly after the live broadcast made its way to viewers all around the world.
The rumor mill about Cardi B's pregnancy started spinning around the Super Bowl back in February. It was noted that she was not hanging around the party scene, drinking Fuji water where alcohol was plentiful, and it was alleged that one of Cardi B's staffers told some people that Cardi was three-to-four months pregnant. The rumors were dismissed at the time, however, by Cardi B, who went on her social media to proclaim that she wasn't actually pregnant, but rather she was simply "just getting fat." Cardi B told her followers to let her be "fat in peace," but now we know the truth. She's preggers.
There were also pregnancy rumors spinning towards the end of last year. Cardi B is currently engaged to Offset, and they were getting ready to call it quits during a cheating scandal involving Offset. But they decided to get back together, and it was around Christmas that people suggested that it was because Cardi B was with child. During the Grammys, Cardi B said she deals with pregnancy rumors every two weeks, but this time, it was totally legit.
It is proving to be an eventful week for Cardi B. In addition to this new pregnancy reveal, the rapper also dropped her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, on April 6th. The musician was on the weekend program to promote her music. It contains her biggest hit yet, "Bodak Yellow," along with other tunes. Cardi B announced the album's release date only a few weeks back at the iHeartMusic Awards, where she was awarded the prize for Best New Artist.
Check out the full musical performance, which starts with a close-up shot before panning out to show her waistline, below.
Congratulations to Cardi B on the exciting new baby news! We'll look out for more pregnancy updates as they arrive later this year.
