Fred Willard Busted With Pants Down At Adult Theater

Fred Willard, best known for his roles in Best In Show and Anchorman, was busted last night at the Tiki Theater in Hollywood, allegedly with his pants down. The actor was reportedly watching a film just before nine o’clock when police officers entered and observed him touching his penis. After being taken to the station and booked, the seventy-two-year-old was sent on his way.

Willard’s first television role came back in 1966, and he’s been working almost incessantly since the mid 1970s. His most recent high profile roles were playing the CEO in Wall-E and Phil Dunphy’s father on Modern Family. He’s been married to his wife Mary since 1972.

According to TMZ, the bust was the result of a random walk through officers were conducting. In order to get a license to show adult films, theaters must allow authorities to conduct random inspections. Unfortunately for Willard, he seems to have chosen the exact wrong moment to get a little too excited while watching.

Given the type of roles he films and his status as a supporting player, I highly doubt this will have any affect on his career. More than likely, it’ll be a funny story people briefly pass around before forgetting it happened.

We’ll let you know if Willard addresses his flap publically. I suspect he’ll say nothing and let the controversy drift away, but you never know.
