Hulk Hogan Drops Bubba The Love Sponge From Sex Tape Lawsuit

Hulk Hogan and Bubba The Love Sponge are done fighting. This morning, the former WWE champion officially removed his former best friend from the one hundred million dollar lawsuit he filed over the recent release of an unauthorized sex tape, and the radio host responded by issuing a public apology on his show in which he said he’s committed to helping the Hulkster and his attorneys find whoever leaked the footage.

Here’s a portion of his actual quote, as per E! Online

”It is my belief that Hulk is not involved, and has not ever been involved, in trying to release the video, or exploit it, or otherwise gain from the video's release in any way."

The Love Sponge’s public apology will happen again on his show tomorrow, and then, he will officially be in the clear. As for his ex-wife Heather Clem and Gawker Media, however, the legal battle is far from over. They remain listed on his $100 million lawsuit, and while it seems likely he and Heather will work something out pre-trial, Gawker doesn’t seem interested in playing ball. The company has thus far refused to remove a one minute, forty second highlight video of Hulk and Heather’s sex tape, and any potential settlement would likely cost big money.

We’ll keep you updated as this case winds its way through the court system. Until then, here’s to hoping Bubba and Hulk can put this mess behind them and start remembering why they were best friends with each other in the first place.
