Apparently Orange Is The New Black Has A Big Effect On The Porn People Watch

Orange Is The New Black Sex

Orange Is The New Black made its triumphant return for Season 4 on Netflix this past weekend. Thanks to the streaming service's insistence on keeping its ratings a secret, we probably won't ever know just how many fans binge-consumed the prison drama. Amusingly, however, popular pornography website Pornhub has no problem throwing around its internal statistics for measuring x-rated viewership, and it turns out, Orange Is The New Black had a big effect on what its users, uhhh, use to get off.

During the three day weekend window in which Season 4 was released, pretty much every single search term involving or related to lesbians, prison and prison lesbians increased exponentially. In fact, the search phrase "lesbian prison guard" was up more than four hundred percent. That's a pretty huge jump, but hilariously, it also means there is at least a baseline of heroic weirdos out there who regularly keep the search term "lesbian prison guard" active, even in-between Orange Is The New Black seasons. Do what you gotta do, people. No judgment here.

You can check out this sweet infograph that Pornhub(NSFW) put together of search terms below...

As you can see, the sharp increases in prison porn viewership was not limited to a single gender. The keywords "Lesbian" and "Prison" saw male frequency increases of 33% and female frequency increases of 67%. Considering Pornhub is one of the 60 largest websites in the United States, that's not a small volume of searches either. Long story short, a hell of a lot of people got curious about female prisoners this past weekend, and Pornhub hooked them up.

As for what they found on these searches, I gallantly took it upon myself to investigate the term "Lesbian Prison Guard". An overwhelming majority of the things I discovered are way, way, way too NSFW to show you here. Unlike me, you probably don't have the freedom to spend 30 minutes of your life looking at naked people (NSFW) doing weird shit (NSFL) to each other. Fortunately, I was able to capture one safe for work screenshot.

What follows that screenshot is a pretty touching story of exploring boundaries and dealing with the repercussions of a life of crime. I don't want to spoil the plot for you. Just know it's every bit as complicated and wonderful as Orange Is The New Black in its own special way.
