New Arrow-verse Crossover Trailer Gives First Look At Earth-X, And It's Horrifying

A crossover between The CW's superhero shows has become an annual event ever since Season 1 of The Flash, and the 2017 crossover extravaganza promises to be the biggest event yet with Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl all together for one cinematic experience. The "Crisis on Earth-X" event will pit the heroes against their evil doppelgangers from a parallel Earth on which the Nazis won World War II and everything is therefore pretty terrible. A new trailer has aired that gives a first good look at Earth-X, and it's horrifying. Check it out!

The trailer isn't long enough to give away a whole lot about what's to come in the "Crisis on Earth-X" crossover, but what it does give away is pretty chilling. The Nazi stormtroopers of Earth-X are clearly a formidable force, and it's easy to see why the heroes of four shows will need to team up to stand a chance. The good news is that we can apparently look forward to seeing Caitlin as Killer Frost slam one of the Nazis in the face with her knee, which should be satisfying to watch. Killer Frost in action always makes for a wild ride.

Perhaps most chilling of all is the quick glimpse of what must be the evil Oliver of Earth-X in a uniform that looks quite Nazi-esque. It's possible Oliver himself is the one in the uniform, a la Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark, but I'm hoping that only evil Oliver is dressed in such a way. It will be jarring enough to see evil versions of the heroes of Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl in the crossover without seeing the good guys dressing like the bad guys in an evil dimension.

The trailer also includes a quick shot of Cisco in formal wear standing in a church that seems to be under attack, if the exploding pews and flowers are any indication. Iris and Barry clearly won't be having the wedding of their dreams, although it will presumably gather the heroes of the Arrow-verse together in a way that will make teaming up very convenient. Hopefully they'll finally get to tie the knot by the end of the crossover.

The big four-show crossover will kick off on Monday, November 27 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW with the first two episodes. The second half of "Crisis on Earth-X" will air the next night, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. For the shows that have gotten the axe in 2017, check out breakdown of 2017 TV cancellations.
