No New Flash Or Arrow This Week, Watch The Exciting Trailers For The Next Episodes

The CW is the place to be on the small screen for superhero action with no fewer than five superhero shows ongoing. Unfortunately for fans of the earliest two shows of the Arrow-verse, both The Flash and Arrow are off this week. The good news is that trailers for the next episodes have already been released, and they indicate plenty of excitement is on the way. For The Flash, all signs point toward a lot of hilarity as well. Check out the promo for the upcoming "Null And Annoyed" episode of The Flash!

Looks like hijinks and shenanigans are in store for Team Flash in the next episode! Despite the darkness that has pervaded a lot of The Flash in Season 4 thanks to The Thinker and his ongoing quest to hunt down and assimilate metahumans in Central City, "Null And Annoyed" will evidently deliver some humor along with the introduction of one of the last two bus metas. Janet Petty -- a.k.a. Null -- is a jewel thief meta whose powers apparently involve defying gravity.

Now, if she only used her powers to steal jewels, she might not pose that huge of a threat to the innocent of Central City. Judging by the trailer, however, she'll put people in very serious danger. Sure, her ability to float people will allow Ralph to make a Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory joke, but it will also nearly send Barry plummeting to his death. While the clip doesn't reveal how Barry survives, it seems to point toward Ralph lending a hand. Even if Harry might be able to figure out a solution with the help of his thinking cap, Team Flash might want to go the extra mile to prevent him from being changed by the contraption. Nobody needs a second Thinker-esque villain in the mix!

You can catch the next new episode of The Flash on Tuesday, April 10 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. Arrow seems to be going in a distinctly less silly direction with its upcoming episode, called "The Thanatos Guild." Take a look!

In "The Thanatos Guild," Nyssa al Ghul will return to Star City with a warning for Thea that a group of renegades from the former League of Assassins plan to stage an attack on her for the purpose of finding a mysterious box left behind by Malcolm before his death. The promo doesn't reveal what's in this box, why Malcolm had it, or what the renegade assassins plan to do with it, but the fight sequences make it clear that the assassins are more than willing to kill for it. Poor Thea can't escape her legacy as Malcolm's daughter even well after he died and lost his claim as the Demon's Head.

The good news is that Nyssa is on hand to help out and Roy is still in the mix after his run-in with Ricardo Diaz and Co. Nyssa's warning that Thea will never be able to fully escape her status as the daughter of Malcolm Merlyn is rather dire, and it could point toward Thea leaving the show sooner rather than later. We'll find out when Arrow returns on Thursday, March 29 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
