Drake Reunited Tons Of Degrassi TV Stars For His New Music Video

Drake first rose to fame on the Canadian teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation. He starred as Jimmy Brooks, beginning his run in 2001 and leaving the TV series in 2007 to pursue his music career. Eleven years after saying farewell, Drake has reunited a bunch of Degrassi cast members in his new music video for the single "I'm Upset." The video is jam-packed with franchise stars, so check it out below!

If you lost track of how many Degrassi cast members made an appearance, we have you covered. There are nearly 20 cast cameos, 19 to be exact! That is a lot of cameos for a music video that lasts 5 minutes and 42 seconds, but somehow Drake and director Karena Evans got it done. The Degrassi cast starts showing up at the 1:28 mark, with the first actor to appear being Shane Kippel, who played Spinner on the long-running series.

As Drake's video progresses, the cameos keep pouring in. Lauren Collins, who played Paige from 2001 to 2008 on Degrassi: The Next Generation, is among the next to be spotted. (Collins left the show the year after Drake departed the series.) When Drake arrives at the high school reunion, the party is already happening with Christina Schmidt (Terri) and Andrea Lewis (Hazel) shown inside.

Some cast members took to social media to offer fans behind-the-scenes looks at their time filming the video. Check one such post out below from Lauren Collins herself.

And yes, if you think you also spotted Nina Dobrev, you would be correct. Before the actress starred as Elena Gilbert on The Vampire Diaries, she starred on Degrassi as Mia from 2006 to 2009. Dobrev even received an onstage shout-out from Drake at last year's AMAs, so no worries about him unloading any diss tracks on her.

You can see Nina Dobrev with the cast on set in the video below:

For Degrassi fans, the video is a walk down memory lane and a reunion that gives them a fresh glimpse at the cast. The credits offer another blast of nostalgia. And Drake is not the only Degrassi star in the video who is also pursuing a career in music. Sarah Barrable-Tishauer (Liberty) is now a DJ, per her Instagram account.

Since leaving Degrassi, Drake has built a huge music career with a bunch of #1 hits on the music charts. With his music video for "I'm Upset" already garnering over 1.5 million views just a day after it was posted, that is more good news for the cast of Degrassi. Will the cast experience an added boost in celebrity? It is a strong possibility, although we probably shouldn't start clamoring for an official reunion special.
