Debbie 90 Day Fiance TLC

Warning! The following contains spoilers for the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? episode "Drive Me Crazy Like A Roulette Wheel." Read at your own risk!

The mother/son duo of Colt and Debbie Johnson is in the spotlight again -- thanks to the latest season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and Colt's new relationship with a Brazilian woman by the name of Jess. The latest episode showed some clear friction between Debbie and Jess, enough that it may drive the couple apart for good.

Ahead of this particularly tense episode, Debbie was on Instagram posting throwback photos. Check out this saucy photo of Debbie back in "the good old days," and continue on for what went down when Colt and Debbie met up with Jess in Brazil:

The photo makes it look like 21-year-old Debbie wouldn't have taken lip from anyone and, as 90 Day Fiancé fans know, she doesn't take it now, either. Debbie already had reservations about Colt's new relationship after his recent divorce with Larissa (who is also from Brazil) but was willing to meet Jess and see if she was a good choice for her son.

At least, that's what she said. It could be argued that Debbie also traveled to potentially sabotage the good time Colt and Jess planned due to her actions in the episode. Debbie quickly fell ill after sitting with Colt and Jess in the car and said she needed to go to the hotel room shortly after the two started discussing children. Once they arrived, Jess tried to rouse Debbie out of bed, which only caused Debbie to snap at her and send them out of the room.

The moment seemingly sucked any hope of romance between Jess and Colt out of the trip, though one could argue Colt did that himself. Neither Debbie nor Jess understood why Colt suggested they share a two-bedroom suite as opposed to two separate rooms, with each expressing the same concerns. Jess didn't want Debbie to hear them having sex, and Debbie didn't want to hear it.

Will Debbie be the end of Jess and Colt's relationship? We can only speculate, though one can imagine Colt doesn't want to relive the battles his mother had with Larissa. A look ahead at next week showed that Debbie and Jess may have time to speak and squash whatever ugliness first sprang up between them, but that talk could go just as bad as it could good.

Whether Deb is the cause of it or not, it does appear that Colt and Jess are no longer a couple in the present. Was this trip the beginning of the end, or did Debbie ultimately approve of Jess and give her blessing? I'm not so sure the latter happened, though we still have some episodes to be surprised and see what all went down.
