Naya Rivera’s Ex-Husband Breaks His Silence After The Glee Star’s Tragic Death

Naya Rivera’s tragic death sent shockwaves through Hollywood, as many are still reeling from the loss of the Glee star. With this, many have offered condolences to Rivera’s loved ones and have also created heartfelt tributes in her memory. Rivera’s ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey, had remained silent on her passing, but he’s now opened up about it in a new sentimental message on social media.

Ryan Dorsey seemed to be overcome with emotions in a recent post on Instagram. He could only describe the situation as unfair and expressed his disbelief over Naya Rivera’s passing:

This is so unfair...there's not enough words to express the hole left in everyone's hearts. I can't believe this is life now. I don't know if I'll ever believe it. You were just here... We were just in the back swimming with Josey the day before. Life just isn't fair. I don't know what to say...

Dorsey went on to say that he’s grateful for the time that he got to spend with Naya Rivera and thanked her for the gift of their four-year-old son, Josey:

I'm thankful for our times and our journey that brought us together and gave us the sweetest and kindest smart little boy we could ever hope for.

In the post, Dorsey recalled how Rivera used to chastise him for overusing Snapchat and, while the actor says he never listened to her, he says he now has a sweet reason for standing by his decision:

I remember sometimes you used to get annoyed at me: ‘Ryan can you stop snap chatting!’ Haha. I'm glad I didn't listen to you because I have hundreds and probably thousands of snaps and videos that Josey will have forever and know his momma loved him more than life, and how much fun we had together as he was growing up.

It's tough not to get emotional when reading Dorsey’s post and, although he is still dealing with this new reality, he seems to be choosing to look fondly on Naya Rivera’s memory as opposed to just mourning her. In his post, he also included a sweet photo of Rivera and Josey together. You can check it out below:

Ryan Dorsey’s tribute is one of the many beautiful sentiments that’s been shared about Naya Rivera since her passing. Her ex-fiancee, Big Sean, also paid tribute to the late actress. Many of her Glee co-stars like Amber Riley and Heather Morris have also opened up about how they’re handling her death. The creators of Glee are even working to establish a college fund for her son.

While Naya Rivera is greatly missed by her family and friends, one thing that’s remained constant is the fond memories they have for her. And Ryan Dorsey has definitely helped to ensure that her memory will live on, especially for their son.

We here at CinemaBlend continue to extend our thoughts to the loved ones of Naya Rivera during this difficult time.
