Prince Harry and Meghan Markle very publicly shook up the British royal family earlier in 2020 when they announced their departure, but they may be keeping their next move much more under wraps. Rumor has it that the couple is pitching a super secret project for television around Hollywood. Here's what may be happening with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Following their relocation to California after leaving the United Kingdom, Variety cites sources stating that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been quietly shopping a project around Hollywood, although no details have been reported for what they have in mind or even if it would be a scripted or unscripted project. This also isn't to say that Markle is looking to return to her career as an actress, as she and Prince Harry would allegedly serve as producers on the project if it makes it to TV.

NBCUniversal is reportedly one of the multiple media companies that has heard what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have in mind. Markle was part of the NBCUniversal family for years thanks to her role on USA's Suits, where Prince Harry actually managed to visit his future wife without many people realizing. The meeting is said to have included NBCUniversal Content Studios chairman Bonnie Hammer, who knew Markle in her Suits days. NBCUniversal has not commented at the time of writing.

While a TV project from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry is unconfirmed at this point, both do have some experience with Hollywood since their marriage. Markle narrated Elephant, a Disney+ film that debuted on the streamer in early April. People reports that Markle donated her fee for Elephant to the Elephants Without Borders charity.

As for Prince Harry, news broke back in April 2019 courtesy of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Instagram that he was partnering with Oprah Winfrey to co-create and co-executive produce a mental health series for Apple. Given the couple's forays into showbiz in the years since Markle married Prince Harry 2018, Disney and Apple seem like potential homes for a TV project, but no details are available about whether or not they have been approached about a series from Markle and Prince Harry.

Whether or not this rumored TV project makes it to the small screen, Meghan Markle is reportedly not interested in returning to her acting career, although a new report alleges that she would get an incredible payday as a movie star. She and Prince Harry apparently discuss toxic media on a regular basis, and The Crown seemingly will never tackle the Harry and Meghan drama of their departure from the royal family.

If you want to relive Meghan Markle's days in front of the camera, you can find all nine seasons of Suits streaming on Amazon Prime, although Markle herself didn't appear following her character's departure in Season 7. The first five seasons of Suits are available streaming for free on Peacock, the new NBCUniversal streaming service.
