Svetlana 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days TLC

90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 7 was a wild one, but it wasn't just the ongoing drama between Big Ed Brown and Rosemary Vega that had audiences captivated. Many were drawn in by the saga of David Murphey, who had an ongoing relationship of 7 years with a Ukrainian woman named Svetlana or Lana. In those years of communication, David had never seen Lana in person, despite traveling to meet her several times.

The two did eventually meet during the season though, unfortunately, it wasn't quite a happy ending. David confirmed the two were no longer together during B90 Strikes Back, and the saga had ended there until a recent and surprising development. Lana has now jumped on Cameo and, after viewing her video, I have a lot of questions about the past, present, and future.

The first thing I was shocked to learn is that Lana can speak English. During her episodes on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Lana was never shown to be even the least bit fluent in English and required a translation device to even speak to David. She did all of her interviews in her native language, so to see her speak English well in this video is a bit jarring, to say the least. Like, even if she's reading a script, her pronunciation is on point enough that I'm questioning whether or not her inability to understand David Murphey was just an act.

And speaking of acts, it's somewhat surprising to see someone like Lana on Cameo, considering what she's famous for. Lana was essentially considered by many to be a scammer, running David Murphey and potentially others around for their money. Murphey was always quick to argue that wasn't the case at all, despite admitting he spent more than a quarter of a million dollars on her over the course of their relationship.

Third, and I feel like this is a point David Murphey will be really interested in, Lana is allowed to be on other websites? During 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, David frequently explained that Lana was only allowed to speak to him on the website that he paid for in order to chat with her. Apparently, Lana's contract didn't allow her to be on social media sites like Facebook but, if that's true, wouldn't Cameo be another place she wouldn't be allowed to frequent?

Lastly, out of all the people on Cameo that are affiliated with 90 Day Fiancé, Lana seems like the one that would be the least appealing get to fans. She was only on a couple of episodes, so her name recognition compared to someone like Angela Deem is not at all high. Also, fans saw what happened with David, do they really want to roll the dice and risk getting involved with Lana next?

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way airs Sundays on TLC at 8:00 p.m. ET. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for more on the franchise, and for the latest happening in television and movie news.
