Hollywood and the rest of the entertainment industry is filled with many high honors that celebrities strive to achieve, such as winning Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, etc. But one of the biggest honors that any entertainer can hope achieve is being selected to have a star placed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. A Hollywood star solidifies a celebrity’s legacy and impact on the industry at large. Each year brings a new group of honorees, from athletes to musicians to actors being acknowledged, and the Class of 2022 was recently announced, leading new additions like Jason Momoa, Ming-Na Wen and more to celebrate their Walk of Fame inclusion.

Upon hearing the official announcement, many of the applicable stars took to social media in response to receiving entertainment’s most public highest honor, and Twitter and Instagram were filled with stars congratulating each other and showing gratitude. One of the first mega-stars to acknowledge the Walk of Fame acceptance was Game of Thrones vet and Dune star Jason Momoa. In his Instagram reaction, the actor seemed thrown off and surprised by his name being listed amongst all the other noteworthy entertainers. As Ming-Na Wen pointed out in her post, it was former The Talk co-host and Hangin' with Mr. Cooper vet Holly Robinson-Peete who informed her of the honor. And speaking of, Robinson-Peete herself will be one of those honored with a star in 2022. The American Housewife actress couldn’t hold her excitement on Instagram, sharing several posts celebrating her place among the list of honorees and giving her mom some props at the same time. The wide variety of celebrity reactions to their Hollywood Walk of Fame honors proved just how important and monumental the achievement is to those who earn it. The class of 2022 has been putting in the work across television, film, sports and music for decades, so this honor is well deserved. But these Hollywood stars aren’t just resting on their laurels, either, with multiple films scheduled for 2021 as well as summer television projects.
