Avril Lavigne is a singer. You probably already know that, she’s been pretty successful with her pop singles and my wife and kids like to sing along to ‘Sk8er Boi’ and some of her other hits. Of course, she isn’t satisfied with this and wants to get into acting. This isn’t always a bad thing, but I tend to be cynical about these decisions until the singer becoming an actor or actor becoming a singer actually proves themselves.

According to MTV, Lavigne is going to try to prove herself in something called Twist of Fate. The title is pretty unoriginal, but Lavigne claims that it is “a darker, kind of more indie film.” That doesn’t say much, but I guess it won’t be a comedy. No other information is available about the director, real actors, or timing, but those people who can’t wait to see Lavigne tackle the movies can start getting excited
